Try driving a van with handicapped stickers all around and on the side door it says "Please allow room for chair lift". Now you are parked in an handicapped space in a store parking lot on the end with NO other space there. While you are in the store its starts to pour rain, this Cadillac SUV pulls in neatly on the non-space next to yours and makes sure he's 3 inches from the lift side of your car. (According to witnesses he exited out the passenger side.) I come out 15 mintues later to see this spectacle. I put the groceries in the hatchback, get his license number and go to the manager to call it out on the PA system. No one comes, no one is supposedly in line when the manager goes over to ask each customer. After 20 minutes with the manager still announcing the license plate, this dude walks out of the short line and asks if his car was hit or something. The manager points to me and explains. The guy looks at me and says - is that all? She can wait. And gets back at the end of the longest line. The manager apologises to me and decides to call the police. I said not to bother. They wont ticket on private property. So I wait another 20 minutes glaring at him. A lady comes over and offers me a soda and turns to him and glares. He ignores everyone. One customer even offered his spot close to the cashier to the guy and he refuses! Finally he's gets done and goes to his car with the slowest walk in history. I sit under the awning as I watch him. He gets into his car, turns it on, makes a big fuss with his seatbelt and turning knobs (5 more minutes pass), WAVES AT ME, then puts it in gear and pulls out --- and gets hit by a passing car. He never looked into his mirrors. I cracked up laughing and so did the manager and others who witnessed this rude person in the store. His shiney, new Escalade was scratched from one end to the other and dented in the side door where he pulled out sharply. The other owner was jumping up and down cussing at him because he had his handicapped, wheelchair bound mother in the car that he was bringing to market and she hit had her head on the side window from the accident. We all made sure she was ok, and the manager told me now I was really there for awhile. I told him to have the police take their time. I didnt mind ... now.

I love it! Love it, love it! You have to love it when Karma hits that quickly. It serves the guy right. I hope the cops really nailed him with the tickets. I do hope the other driver and passenger were all right but that guy got what he deserved. It's so rare to see it happen that quickly. Thank you for posting this. I needed the laugh.

Well, if that's not a perfect example of karma, I don't know what is! I'm glad the people in the other car were not seriously hurt. It really burns my bacon that people can be so thoughtless and rude to others. I've had people purposely refuse to pull out of a parking space just because they saw me pull up and turn on my signal to pull in after they leave. Why are people so petty? I will never understand it.

hahahaha well it serves him right, they always say what goes around comes around. I have to say though I would not have been as good as you where with this. I am an easy going Person but something like this I get madder with the Minute and I would have had a go at him and made sure he knew about it. But in the end he got his Punishment. I am glad though that the Lady was ok.

i didn't laugh at your story, bee..i got pissed with that rude guy. if that happened in our country, he wouldn't have the nerve to make you wait because other guys would give him the look that would leave him with no choice but to attend to his car and not make you wait. otherwise, you can expect a brawl or him beaten up. worse, he'll not just have a scratch on his car..

At one time that was true in my country, but with all the lawsuit abuse now he'd probably sue me for the others beating him up. Thanks for your support, though.

Oh i haven't laughed that hard in a long time! Serves him right!! They say that karma exists and what goes around comes around. I can't believe the attitude of some people towards handicapped parking - my grandfather has used parks like this for at least 30 years and he has some shocker stories of rude and inconsiderate people [nothing as funny as this mind you] I'm sure that "Mr Rude" will try to blame the other car for the accident and insist that it wasn't his fault and try to make out that he is a good citizen etc. Although it sounds nasty to say this ... I'm glad that you got to witness this - i'm sure it brightened up your day an awful lot after all his rudeness towards you.

In my town the cops will ticket the car. They will also have it towed. I know people see me walk from my car & glare because I have a handicapped plackard, but the fact is that I can't walk far because of hurting my feet years ago. I have seen cars ticketed and towed for less than this guy did to you.

In our town if its on private property (such as a store's parking lot) they will not ticket him but tell him to go on. By the time the police would have gotten there on this, a "routine call", he would have been already gone.

I would've called to have that car towed while he was waiting in that long line. Then he would've had the added expense of getting it outta being impounded, & parking in a non-parking space. Some people are so rude! Sorry that happened to you. I'm glad those other people were ok after that jerk caused the car accident too.

That is horrible. People just have no idea what kind of problems they give you when you can't get into your car. We have a lift van also. I hate to go shopping when I have my son. Most of the time the Handicap places ar taken or are not make to use with a lift. If you do get one, half the time, someone squeezes in the spot that isn't a parking spot. It is terrible that this guy treated you this way. He did get his!! That was funny. I hope he learned his lesson. I doubt it.

It is sad to know that people can be so rude and uncaring. But, humans are a rare breed. They do a lot of things that surprise me. I avoid rude people like a plague.

I gotta ask. Is this a real story or just a feel good story of the day? It relly does make me laugh especially how you were in no hurry after he got hit and had to wait for the police. I do understand why people need to leave extra space for the lifts. Our apartment copmplex has a sign saying reserved for #X. My friend parked next to it. Thinking next to it was not the actually space and she would be OK. As she was leaving and I was talking with her a van pulled up. asked if the truck was mine and if I would move it. I asked my friend to move and she did with no problem. It turned out the sign was in front of the lift side, not the actually space. We could not tell the space was painted differently because of the snow.

Well, I had no choice but to stay there and be a witness - LOL! I wasnt really in a hurry anyway, it was raining out and I just wanted to get home. I didnt want the poice hassle in teh fist place - you know, tuen the other cheek and all that. I guess I was rewarded! Though I did feel sorry for the bad guy, too, (after laughing) and we did check on him for being hurt as well as the old mother.

Omg, you poor thing. The store should of called the police anyway and had that pretty Cadillac SUV towed. Still your story is so much better. Talk about karma, lol. Sorry but what happened to him was so funny. Glad to hear that the mother was ok, but ironic that he got hit by a car that had a handicapped person inside. I bet once the cops got there, he had some explaining after his cute lil suv is found in the handicapped parking. I hope you made a good witness, lol.

WOW .... I can not believe just how rude this guy was as there was absolutely no reason for this what so ever. Now the ending is hilarious and i guess that this would be a wonderful definition of karma up close and personal ... LMAO!!! It deserved him right that is for sure he was wrong and should never have done what he done!

That is just terrible. What kind of person does that sorta thing. How much damage was done to his car? He wasnt the one in control now, wonder how that made him feel? Some people just love being in control of other peoples lives.

Bee, the police will ticket in a private parking lot, one time I forgot to put on the handicapped thing on my mirror at Wal-mart and I got a ticket. And that is a great story what happened to that guy, it is amazing how people think they have the right to abuse others like that. The guy made out too well, he should have been hurt, then maybe he would have gotten an idea why there are handicapped places.

LOL! Talk about karma! This guy deserved everything he got. It's times like this that your faith in the world is restored, especially when you're around to see those who annoy you get whats coming to them. I'm sorry that you had to experience this ignorant, rude, brain challenged person though. I hate men who think they're better than everyone else more than anything. I thoroughly enjoyed reading your story of what happened to him - revenge isn't always a dish best served cold lol. Sometimes it's fun when you're positively breathing fire.
