I dont think there is anything permanent as your hair grows the gray comes with the new growth. I color my hair with permanent hair color and it lasts good but the gray has to be colored as it comes in. I just really dont want gray hair so I have it colored on a regular basis

One bad thing about gray hair, it grows. It will continue to grow, so if you color your hair, you will have to continue to color your hair. There is no other solution that I can think of. Be happy that you have hair. (that is what my brother says) I am 42 years old, and I am lucky not to have gray yet. I know when I do, I will go gray gracefully. I have never colored my hair, and I probably never will. My husband started getting gray at 23. By the time he was 30 he was almost all gray. I love his hair, always have. I am happy with myself and I am secure with who I am. It will not matter to me if I am gray or not. I am sure my friends and family will love me just the same.

I had to dye my hair for the first time at age 18 for grey hair. I don't know of anything that will last. I have to get my hair coloured every 4 to 6 weeks to get rid of the roots. The last time we coloured my hair we added a few blond highlights and it doesn't seem to be as noticable. My daughters friend who is a hair dresser, does my hair. I will call her when she gets home from work and ask her your question and make a comment to this response.

There is a product called Fanciful. It is a color rinse. You put it through your hair after you wash it. You don't rinse it out. This could be a solution until the grey grows out a little more, so it doesn't look so unnatural. I've used it before, and it smells really good, and gives your hair lots of body. There are different colors to choose from.
