Kids who are spoiled don't get spanked...

It seems kids who are spoiled day after day by their parents do not get spanked as much as a poor kid does!
Why is that?
I've got a simple yet true answer for that.
The parents are usually not at home, that's the reason why the buy aplliances to fill up their position.
Tv, Xbox, Playstations and Psp's, ipod's and the list goes on.
These are there to fill up the position of the parents when they aren't around.
Correct me if i'm wrong but spoiled kids don't get spanked.
Not even a smack on the hand, just a,"Never do it again!"
Why are many people insecure?
Becuase they were spoilt as a kid and never got the punishment and the message they needed never to do it again.
please don't spoil your kid, if they do something wrong, merely just spank them hard and get the message accross that they should never do it again.
Goodbye pretty persy!

Your statement is partially true. It isn't really the spoiled kids, but the kids whose parents have more money. I don't think a kid who has an X-box is spoiled, his/her family can just afford one. There are studies that show that parents who are poor do discipline differently than those who have more money. However, this does not make one discipline style better than the other.

This statement is not true at least with my friends who have kids that they spoil regularly. They do give them spankings from time to time if they do something wrong as even spoiled children get into trouble. Maybe this is true with families all over but here it does not seem to apply based on the people that I know. Personally, I think spanking is wrong now especially with violence getting out of hand and children get harmed more than years ago. I think there are better ways to punish a child than a spanking.
