Belief O-Matic

I found this interesting little test that asks you a variety of questions and then spits out the faith closest to your beliefs. It is at Beliefnet.com and in the menu under Faiths and practices there is something called the Belief O-Matic that takes you to the test. Just interested in what the results are for people and if you agree with the results. I took the test and it tells me that I most closely fit the Unitarian Universalists. Not sure if I believe it or not, don't know much about them, but from the write up on the site, it sounds close, but I am not as mystical nor willing to believe in Christ as the son of god as much as that site seems to indicate, though it does say that not all Unitarian Universalists believe this, so as it appears to be a faith primarily of Agnostics who follow there own personal beliefs sounds about right to me.

I've done the test, unitarian universalist is 100% for me, but I think the test doesn't imply anything, as most of the questions are not well phrase and results doesn't predict anything.

yes I found several of the questions to be leading questions, or they were too black and white, either you believed something or you did not, nothing in between. I don't think it is supposed to be 100% accurate, more of a guideline to point you in the vague direction you might be interested in. That and it was kind of fun (ok so I have a twisted sense of what is fun and what is dull, but I enjoyed taking the test).

I took this years ago, and it was surprisingly accurate. Pagan was at the top of my list (which I am). I also rated pretty high for Unitarian Universalist though, which is funny, because at the time a friend was bugging me to go to a UU church with her. I went, and I loved it. It's so neat to learn about other people's religions, and celebrate pretty much all holidays. It's a nice place for myself and my Christian husband to go together. There are pagans, Christians, humanists, Jews, Hindus, Muslims, and Buddhists in the congregation where I go, along with others I'm sure.

Mine came out 100% Neo Pagan, 97 % New Age, 83% Universal Unitarianism and 81% Mahayana Buddhist. That's pretty neat, considering they lie pretty close to my actual spiritual practices.

Ok, I took the quiz mostly out of curiostity. And it did pretty good. It told me I was 100% reform Judiasm. I am actually a conservative Jew, but close enough. How funny is that? I love my religion and would never think of being anything else. So I give it props for being pretty close.

glad it was fairly accurate with you, I wondered if it would be. Being an agnostic myself its pretty hard to nail down a faith that fits with me, but still its cool. I am begining to think that the test would put all agnostics in the Unitarian Universalist faith though, and I wonder about that.
