Real money or scam?!?

I was talking to my brother on the phone the other day and he said he was playing Black Jack. As we were talking he was asking mee for advice on what he should do on his hands and I gladly gave him advice. As the conversation progressed he was telling mee that he won 500, 1500, 2100, etc... I thought that he was playing Hoyal Card Games or something as our whole family plays them, but to my surprise he was actually gambling on line. By the end of our conversation, when he told mee that he was really gambling, he was up to $65,000 from $20,000 and he told mee that I am his "GOOD LUCK CHARM". My worry is this, will he actually get paid?!? Have any of you went on line and gambled? If you have have you actually gotten paid from it? I am wondering as I was telling my brother that he will probabally never get paid and the initial $500 that he started his account with is now gone. So if you have any information please let mee know and tell mee what you think.
