It's been only 2 weeks since I posted about my stepmother; (who has diabetes) she was basically on 'death's door'... She had the pace maker put in, went to rehab for a few days and now she is home and feeling like a new woman. She used to be huge but now she's down to 170 lbs. She just can't believe how good she feels; now if we can get her blood levels under 300, it'll all be good. Thank you, my friends for all the good thoughts and prayers you have put forth concerning this. I told my dad that everyone had been praying for them and he was so excited. I love you all..!

Oh, THANK GOODNESS, I've been worried for you all! I'm so pleased it went well and she is mending happily. I've gone all goosey, I'm so pleased for you all! I thought about you every day and asked the angels to watch over you all especially your step-mum, it's so sad to loose a grandparent and now you won't have to! Make sure you enjoy lots of fun family things now she feels better! hugs

This is a great update. It is amazing how getting the right care can turn you around. As she feels better and is able to walk, she will probably have better blood levels. Thanks for sharing.

Really pleased for your good news, now you take good care of her, and remember these things are sent to try us, so we should always appreciate what we do have, and not what we don't have, a little bit of pray, support and love goes a long way. Good luck stepmum.

Glad to hear that all is well for your StepMom. Diabetes can be so hard for a body to deal with. My aunt had a pacemaker put in a few weeks ago and is doing very well with it. Huggers to you and your family.

I heard about a study that tested prayer. Agroup of sick people did not recieve any prayer, another had prayer from people they knew and the 3rd group recieved prayers from people they did not know. The third group inproved much faster than the second and the second much faster than the first. I did not need a study to know it works, but found it interesting that the group that had prayer from strangers did so much better than the other. My mother was a diabetic. My best friend has a pace maker and was with me when her heart started to quit. I have been through both of these and know times can not be easy for you. Will be praying and thinking of you.

Wow..! That was a great test that they did; if nothing else, it proved to the professionals that prayer does work and how wonderful that the best results came from strangers who prayed..! My mother and stepmother are both diabetics, so yes, it tends to make a person concerned. Thank you for the kind words and prayers.
