Some months ago I have read some opinions about Scarlett Johansson. Two of the main fashion celebrities Dolce and Gabbana were telling that she is over-evaluated for his beauty and actress capacities. Do you agree with them? I think that she is lucky because there are not a lot of good actress in her generation and her beauty is particular.

I think she's gorgeous and has that "Old Hollywood" glamorous beauty. I also think she's a very good actress and have enjoyed all of her films.

She is very pretty, but is a poor actress. Unfortunately, for the film-going public, Hollywood has become obsessed with looks and marketability, over talent. You say that there are not many actresses of quality within her generation, but I would disagree. You have to look at the non-Hollywood based films to find them. Ironically, I posted a discussion several months ago (with very little response) regarding the fact that, having just watched the old film noir 'The Maltese Falcon', actors such as Peter Lorre, Sidney Greenstreet & Humphrey Bogart would not even get an interview by a Hollywood studio today. Particularly, I should like to speak up for French cinema (and Spain Pedro Almodovar), where there are a great many actors and actresses, who whilst being far from ugly, are cast because of their talent not their looks. Although, as the saying goes, there is always the exception that proves the rule, French cinema has also been blessed by the stars Daniel Auteuil & Emmanuel Beart, who combine beauty and talent in abundance. Good looks should not hold you back, but talent should count for more. Unfortunately, Hollywood is a very shallow and pathetic purveyor of tat, nowadays, but hopefully it will undergo a revival. I shalln't hold my breathe though.
