vitally alive

ok. there's this shampoo ad, V05 shampoo to be exact, and the catch phrase is 'hair that's vitally alive.' it might just be me but i feel like there's something wrong with the phrase vitally alive. i think the two words mean pretty much the same thing. in the same line as vividly bright and microcephalic lamebrain. i tried confirming my thoughts by looking it up in a dictionary and i got a resounding affirmation. but just to be sure i tried googling it and sure enough the phrase seems to be used a lot.
am i alone in this world? maybe its just me.. but anyway, share me your thoughts on this vitally alive thing. it's been bugging me, especially since the ad is still running.
