Your problem is probably in the fuse box. It's pretty easy to replace a burnt out fuse. Just make sure that you get the right ones, when taking them into the auto part store. You will probably need one for the brake lights as well as one for the turn signals. It should be marked which fuse does what on the lid of the fuse box. I hope this helps.

Thank you for your help. You got me thinking and it turns out that the signal flasher had went out. Now if I can just get the brake lights to work I'll be all set. thanks again.

sounds like someone messed with the wiring. take it to a mechanic and have them check out the wiring for the brake lights and turn signals. it might not be hooked up right or at all. good luck
