Another definition needed

Can someone please give me a definition for the legal term: 'Civil Duty'? Thanks in advance:)

Civil duty is the duty that civilians are required to perform for their community and country. For example, here in America, all citizens are able to be called upon randomely by the court system to serve on a jury. This is considered a civil duty, because civilians are expected to perform this service for their community and the country. Hope that helps!

I would say that is the duty performed by a civilian, meaning the ordinary persons legal duty....just another of my opinions...
