What does your sleeping position tell about you?

Have you ever wondered what your sleeping position tell about you?
Check out e.g. this article at http://www.flatseats.com/General/positions.htm .
The article categorises sleeping positions into 6 types. Namely, they are foetus, log, yearner, soldier, freefall and starfish.
I wouldn't paste the elaboration here so do check out the article to get the details. Then if possible, share which position you and/or your other half is currently adopting and discuss if the article's analysis is true. ;-)

well, i checked this out, very interesting.....
but my position is not there, actually i'm one of the 5% who changes postion every now and then, sometimes i'm half a soldier which means i'm on my back, but my knees are bent, and sometimes i'm a yearner and sometimes a foetus.
Woohoo, finally i'm one of the rare 5%, that's exciting.

I tend to pick a couple different positions - I do change from how I start to go to sleep and when I wake up in the night I'll be in different positions.
My most typical position would be the foetus, but I really like that one because I can cuddle up front-wise or spoon-wise with my husband best that way. I also have to have my pillows under my head, to hug, between my legs, and sometimes wedged up behind my back to help get him in a comfy position! lol
I think the yearner position would be next favorite, although I tend to lay in a more horizontal posture across the bed - head close to my hubby and my feet closer to the edge, if not hanging over the edge - still with all my pillows though. I usually have 4 to myself :o)
The other two I do fall asleep in are the soldier and the starfish - it just depends on whether the room is chilly or I am too hot -- arms in to warm up and be more confined or arms up and out to be a bit cooler and stretch out my back a bit more.
Honestly my personality pulls from all of these descriptions -- I am open and easy to get along with, I am very social, but private about personal issues, I am trusting but aware in a cynical kind of way since I've been burned in numerous ways by people before, I like to go all out and make a fuss about somebody else but do not like to be the center of attention myself (but enjoy it if I am!), I do hold myself to certain standards and expect others to achieve their best as well, I may take my time to make a decision, but can be an impulsive buyer as well
. . . . so the descriptions are pretty good, but I wonder just how many people will actually say they just sleep in one positon - for me I can't imagine not moving around all the time -- my husband would like to imagine it - but after all this time I doubt it's gonna happen!~ lol

Hehe, I thrashed around on the bed and have slept in all those positions before. Guess we are both all-rounders, eh? :P

I curl up in the foetus position....But, I'm far from being shy though..lol..I will say I'm rather tough on the outside and a bit sensitive on the inside...

Well im a foetus and my partner is a starfish although sometimes I have to kick him into another position because he snores like hell when he sleeps on his back, not sure what position he takes then because I just kick and turn around and go back to sleep. ;)

Found any truth in what the positions' implications are?

Hi wizard, just checkded on the site you posted. I'm a certified true foetus since I'm a little girl. The analysis are quite accurate. Not only do I sleep like that, I also need to surround myself with a lot of pillows. I had one on my head, one at my feet, another one on my back. I also had a bolster to hug. My husband told me that I mightget drown from so many pillows around me. But what should I do...I can't sleep without those soft pillows.

My sleeping position is usually in foetus and freefall. Just look at the pictures to visualize how I sleep. When I read at the explanation I was surprised to see that the traits are very similar to what I am.

I tend to be a mixture of foetus and freefaller/yearner.
Foetus means I'm sensitive at heart, freefaller means I'm often gregarious and brash..but can be thin skinnedunderneathe it all -- isn't that true for almost everybody?, and Yearner means I have an open nature but I can be suspicious and cynical..slow to make up my mind, though once I do make a decision I'm unlikely to ever change it.
All of it's true about me lol..though I think all of he above traits have helped me life-wise more than hindered me in the long run.

I'm definitely sleep in the foetus position, but tend to have the pillow vertically - so I'm almost hugging the pillow when I sleep. I don't agree about the full analysis - if you ever meet me, you will agree that I am the least shy person you will come across :)
Those who know me will agree that I am tough on the outside, and do have a sensitive side (rarely seen) that only comes out when things really get to me.
