we only shop biweekly for our family of four and the cost ends up being about $200 and thats with treats for lunches included in that amount. We are careful shoppers and shop at a discount place. I plan meals mostly for the two week period and pretty much stick to that plan/budget

hi daycarepal...i spend usually around 80 - 100 bucks for a week. first, i never shop only in one plpace. i always check those papers see which supermarket have what sale. and then i always use those coupons...and always have the store bonus card. so actually i save around 30 - 50 bucks everyweek. btw, my family is family of four. those coupons is really money saver!

We pay 88.00 every week. I tend to buy things in bulk, (laundry detergent, trash bags, diapers) once a month, and that does save us money. we are a family of four with two under 3.

Before we moved, we could spend about $50 for the two of us each week, and that included buying milk and condiments for the whole household, which included another roommate. Now that we've moved, the grocery bill for the two of us is closer to $80 a week, without a third roommate. Groceries are more expensive here, we've started trying to eat at home more often than going to restaurants, and we're trying to eat a little better. It's hard, though, especially on a tight budget.
My only tips are to look at the sales each week, and try to plan your menus around things that are on sale. Also, clipping coupons helps.

It's about $40-$50 a week for two of us. I have found a much cheaper market in my area that now that I have access to a car I can get there much easier. It's a "Market Basket" and it's probably 1/3 cheaper than that store I used to go to.
It's also super crowded, since it is such a good deal. I go in there with a plan on what to buy, and am sure to shops the sales. I also use coupons when I can, and try to stick to a list.
Also, I'm not afarid to buy store brands and do at any opportunity I get. Really I have never noticed that much of a difference, besides the fact that the store brand is so much more affordable.

Well for me its every two weeks cause I get paid biweekly. I usually hit two or three different stores to get all the things we need because certain things are cheaper at different places. It seems like a hasle but it only takes a bit more extra time as the stores are all close together. I am not much on using coupons I usually just check the sales papers. I hit the pharmacy for milk cause its always the cheapest. I do most of the cooking so I usually put a list together off of what meals I am making over the next couple weeks than throw in all the extras and junk foods we dont really need.

Food Bill for me alone will be around $20-$25, but not more than that. This is because, I do spend a lot for eating the Nonvegetarian Items. If Im a vegetarian, then this bill would have further reduced to very less.

I shop every other week and spent $150-175 -- that's for myself, my son, 2 cats and a large dog. Pull-ups, animal food/treats and cat litter account for about $40 of that.
My best tips for saving money are:
1 - buy store brand instead of name brand (unless the name brand is cheaper because of a sale) -- there are a few things that i don't buy store brand... ketchup, mac & cheese or toilet paper
2- use coupons, but ONLY for things that you normally buy
3 - make a list & stick to it (i usually allow for 2 or 3 things that i need that i forgot to put on the list and 1 or 2 "extras")
4 - pay attention to sales. with a few exceptions, i usually only buy meats and produce that are on sale. unless there's something that's a good price that i really want or need for something i want to make.
