medusa is one of the three winged demons of the greek mythology called gorgons with small serpentine locks of hair. she was also depicted as the wicked valentina in the numerous darna komiks and movie versions. i forgot all other details of it, anyway, i have to dig up again my book of knowlege on the topic just for you my friend, lol. top of the morning for you my friend...

She is one of the three gorgon sisters whom could not be looked upon by anyone for they would turn to stone... even after being decapitated her face still turned me to stone

I would rather take that as a compliment for Ms. Rice. The wisdom and power of medusa raging within her, made her one of the most powerful people on earth in her time :)
