Burn them? I've never heard anyone suggest that. If you want to declutter your house, go room by room. Go through things and separate what you need, use and love, from what you don't. Then decide quickly if it's garbage (throw it out), can be sold (at a garage sale or on ebay) or donated to a charity. Then do it. Most of the reason that people hold onto things is for emotional reasons. Just make the decision and let it go. You will be freed from all the junk you don't need.

I've never heard of anyone suggesting burning either lol, but I did suggest yard sale, and whatever is left that doesn't sell to donate. The Salvation Army and Good Will are screaming for donations. I always donate things I don't need or use anymore. Especially if someone else can get use or joy out of it.

Give them to charity. There are lots of people who need things.

Honestly, I know that for you the decision to give things away is a headache, but think of it this way ... If you give your unwanted items to a Salvation Army or Good Will store then someone on a very fixed income could buy it and get use, or joy out of it. I was always told one persons trash is anothers treasure. OR you could have a yard sale to try to get a little extra money, and then whatever you don't sell donate to Salvation Army or Good Will. Just my thoughts anyhow.
