What is the blue highlighted word for?

I just noticed just this march that when i compose or make a discussion, or post a comment, and post it- some of the words in my comment are colored blue? kinda like a link- well, it becomes a link actually.. why is this so? is this a new upgrade? i tried clicking it and it led me to photo uploads which were not really related to the highlighted word, for instance, the word "how many" was highlighted- i click on it and an uploaded photo of "water" is shown.. whats this for? if in case we click on it and it shows your photo- do you get paid for it as well? a little help please =) thanks in advance!

Wors/phrases highletd in blue are links. Different topics here links to sights of all types. When you run your cursor over it look at the bottom of the page & it'll say what the sight is that it links to. Happy postings from Grandpa Bob.
