My daughter's screening

Okay, we've been having various issues with my daughter at school and one of the things suggested me was to get her hearing checked. We don't have an audiologist here in town but the nurses at the health unit will do the screenings at the school and if it's needed will do up a referral to go to the audiologist one town over. So the principal arranges for her to go to the school to screen my daughter and a bunch of other kids in the school.
I got the slip from her in my daughter's packback and it's says
"can't hear things when others can
passed hearing screening"
Is it just me or is that two completely different statements. She passed the test but can't hear what others can?!?! Should I make an appointment anyways with the audiologist or should I just leave it for now?

It may be that your daughter has some sort of auditory processing disorder. She can hear things for the screening--which is usually done one-on-one in a quiet room, but she is unable to hear what others hear, which may occur in a room where there are other noises and distractions. Her brain may have trouble filtering out the separate sounds, so everything is sort of an noisy blur to her. I hope that made sense. Please talk to your doctor and check out this link for more information:

I would call the school nurse & ask. The two different statements seem to contradict each other, but I would take that as "She does have decent hearing, but not as good as average." That is just how I would read it. Again, best thing to do is ask, because in reality, a stupid question is the one you do NOT ask.

It is 2 differnt things. Son\me children are more sesnitive about sound. Just to give you a crazy idea. Its so quiet you can hear a pin drop. Some people might be able to hear the pin drop and others may not. Hope this makes sense to you..
