Yup, hillock, using broom always is the most handy and convenient way to clean the small area of our house. But if cleaning the larger area or places that our broom couldn’t reach, like places beneath the beds, we would rather use the vacuum.

Lol... my stupid but cute dog did do this irritating but ridiculous barking when I using the vacuum cleaner. I think it might blame that the vacuum was not noisy enough and it intended to add some more noise to it.

broom and dustpan - Ours is a tile floor, so we usually use a broom to sweep it first before we mop the floor. We have never used a vacuum cleaner yet as a broom and a mop are good enough for our house.
Hello lkbooi. Ours is a tile floor, so we usually use a broom to sweep it first before we mop the floor. We have never used a vacuum cleaner yet as a broom and a mop are good enough for our house. Take care, friend.

Hi jisir, to mop the tile floor after sweeping with broom will make it much cleaner and more shining. I like tile floor. It makes our house to look much refreshing and decent as well. All the floors of my house are covered with different types of floor tiles. The floor tiles of the sitting room, bed rooms, kitchen as well as the bathroom are of different colors. It’s much easier and convenient to keep them clean. I use the vacuum cleaner in every other month to clean the floors thoroughly for every corner of the house as well as those underneath the beds, cupboards, shelves and etc. My husband’s elder sister would scrub the tile floor near the stove in the kitchen after finishing cooking as the cooking oil and other stuffs using in her cooking always would make the floor looks indecent. Happy posting and have a nice day.

I don't have a vacuum cleaner yet. I want to buy one for my pc because it is difficult to clean it with hands and every time I have to open each part of it to get it cleaned. With Vacuum cleaner, it would be easier.

Really sanuanu, besides to do the cleaning of spacious floor vacuum is quite useful for us to suck away the disgusting dust sitting amidst those narrow gaps, seams and slot of our devices and gadgets which our hands could hardly reach them. Yeah, I always try not to take the trouble to do the complicated job. Sometime I use the hair dryer to blow away the dust rests amidst the thin and narrow spaces on my keyboard. I prefer to use vacuum most of the time for the dust won’t fly freely like what it does when using the broom to do the floor cleaning. Happy posting and have a nice day.

if the area is carpeted i prefer using a vacuum cleaner,if not a broom..but when i do feel strtching my arms and sweating a little, i use the broom. i get my dose of exercise and it is more economical nowadays to use manual labor than things that rund in electricity or gas..

Yeah JOIEMARVIC, I think to use a vacuum cleaner is easier than to use a broom to clean the floor with carpet covered. It’s quite difficult to let the broom to move smoothly on the carpet. No wonder you would sweat as you have to use extra strength to stretch your arms to do the difficult moving work on the carpet. Yeah, I agree with you that using a broom to do the cleaning chore we could cut down the consuming of electricity using, as well as to save the expense on electricity. What’s more sweeping floor using a broom is a form of good physical exercise. Happy posting and take care.

I too would rather use a vacuum cleaner. And I usually do. I think sweeping just puts dust into the air. But I do sweep my kitchen floor every night.

Hi dear TerryZ, I totally agree with you, sweeping would disturb the dust and make the air around not hygienic. But sometimes I do prefer sweeping as it is handier for smaller area cleaning.

I have a vacuum cleaner at home, but most of the time I like to use a broom. As it will be much more convenient. My vacuum cleaner is expensive, so it's bigger and heavier. So it is no need to use such a big machine to clean little part only.

Hi sue, to use a mop to clean the wooden floors would be much cleaner than to use a broom. It’s always easier and more convenient to clean floor of smaller surface I don't like to take the trouble to get ready the vacuum before using it and to do the cleaning after using it. posting and take care.

About 90% of my home has carpeting on the floors. Only two of the rooms do not have carpeting. So I mostly vacuum the room, although I sometimes there were no carpets. Brooms are sometimes a whole lot easier because you don't have to lug a big machine around, but a vacuum gets the mess up better. It's a double edge sword unfortunately.

Yeah CRSunrise, the cleaning work of floor would become easier, more convenient and efficient if we use the correct way and tool to clear it. I usually would use a vacuum cleaner to clean the floor spread with carpet, whereas to use a broom to clean small surface of floor without carpet on it. We don’t use any carpet to cover the floor of our house, so my husband’s sister prefers to use a broom to sweep the floor daily I have seen many well design and beautiful carpets when I visited a carpet factory end of last year. I have got the knowledge after the visiting and know that those carpets made from genuine silks are quite expensive and durable for life as well. No wonder they are so expensive in price. Well the carpet on the floor would make the room to look decent and lively. Our kids would feel comfortable and warm as well to sit on the carpet to do their favorite indoor hobbies Happy posting and take care.

Both the vacuum cleaner and the broom are very useful in the home. The floors where I am now are tiled, so I use the broom all the way. I used the vacuum cleaner also, I love vacuuming floors.

Yeah, I totally agree with you that both the vacuum cleaner and the broom are the essential cleaning equipments in the home. For me, surely I would find great difficulty if I miss either one of them. I am allergic to dust so for cleaning those dusty and wider areas the vacuum cleaner is a must for me. I use a broom for cleaning the floor of smaller area.

When I have to help my mom I use both. First I use the broom to clean the room to a corner, and then I turn the vacuum cleaner and vacuum the corner. This way I can economise energy and I do some arm exercise.

Hi RogerTheRabbit, the way you are using to clean your house is really good and effective. It can save both energy and time by doing in this way. Moreover it could be a good form of exercise by using the broom every now and then before vacuuming.

Hi dear suehan, it is so wonderful to have wooden floors as I like to walk on it with bare foot. It is not as cold as the tile one. I never realize that it is easier to use a broom to sweep the wooden floor instead of using a vacuum.
