Does anyone have a child with ADHD

My son was diagnosed roughly 2 years ago with ADHD. He is currently taking Adderall XR 20mg, which helps his concentration and focus, a larger dose turns him zombie-like. He is very intelligent IQ 135, but his social skills lack greatly. He is annoying ( I can say this, he's my son) and other kids just don't relate to him. He is VERY dramatic and turns the slightest thing into a tragedy. Any ideas or similar experiences ? I'd really like to hear from someone on this... thanks !

Your son sounds a lot like my 7 yr old. I have learned with mine that if you don't change his routine to much it helps him.Socially he hasn't been able to make friends because the other children find him to be annoying even on Concerta.
If something goes wrong in his day he either starts having a tantrum or completelt shuts down. At that point the school calls me.

it's sad really, we only want to give our kids the best in life and there are just some things even we can't "fix"
