What is an Ungulate?

From what I have read in wikipedia, ungulate are several groups of mammals, most of which use the tips of their toes usually hoofed, to sustain their whole bodyweight whilst moving.
So I guess when we don't want to make noise at night, we act like ungulate, moving with the tips of our toes.
