For the first time in my life, I don't. My husband and I have always worked and carried the insurance through our employers. My husband is retired now, and I am currently without a job. At 55 I have a few health problems, and any insurance I could get would cost more than I can afford to pay since I have no income. It's a scary feeling. I never thought it could happen to me.

Your husband didnt get to keep his insurance when he retired? That's crazy. I know what u mean about it bein scary. I have none either & have diabetes. Can you not get gov. assistance? Probably like me, I make to much to be low income enough to get iy but not enough to be able to afford the cost. Hope u find somethin soon.

Right about the time my husband retired, the company he worked for for 40 years went bankrupt and was bought out by another company. Therefore, his COBRA rights disappeared. I hope to find a job with insurance in the near future. I hope you find a resolution for your problem, too.

I have health insurance but I am paying for it on my own. I am only employed part time so I do not qualify for health insurance by my employer.

My copay is only $10 per office visit, which is fine. I also have a perscription plan, and vision and dental insurance from my employer as well. Forgot to mention, I live in PA.

I will have Health insurance in a week from my place of work. I work as a Dispatcher for a Taxi company. The nice thing is that the Taxi drivers pay the Premium on it, and from what I hear, it is decent insurance.

My boyfriend works for the state as a military fire fighter. His insurance is free & he has no copay. But even if we were married, It would be $300. a month to add me too his policy. The state employee gets it free but anyone else includin there kids is $300 a month. So I have none.

Thats not to bad. I take it that you dont have a lot of health problems that requires several doc. visits. I do not have insurance at all.

We have health insurance through my husband's employer but they really suck. They really haven't covered anything that we've needed it for. Really horrible! I am actually interested in Ameriplan. Are there any reps on here? If so, please feel free to add me and contact me.

Wow. That stinks that your company did not offer health insurance. It is very important to have coverage as medical expenses are high. The only thing I don't like about my insurance is having to meet a $1000 deductible for a single person.
