BEDBUGS!! Bedbugs were common before WWII, but with chemicals were all but vanished durint the 1940's and 1950's. They are making a comeback, supposedly brought back to the United States via travlers to foreign countries. What is different is that this time, they are not just found in low dollar, nasty places...but in nice motels, cruise ships, dormitories, apartments and more! I actually had a run in with them at a very nice, upscale hotel during my son's wedding!! Be careful!! Be sure to see the link below for loads of information. What are your experiences with these nasty little creatures? Link for more information: http://www.uky.edu/Ag/Entomology/entfacts/struct/ef636.htm

Thats not so bad...you may remember a while ago I told you about the rainforest that I have springing up under my bed. Well recently the tops of our bed has become infested with madagascar hissing cockraches...we have learned to live with them as they tend to head back to the forest when my snoring starts.

OMG, I am rolling in the floor. I wonder what I did for laughs before I 'met' you inked?! My husband snores too, but what would likely chase your hissing cockroaches away first would be his bouts of gas that he somehow manages to 'save' for bedtime!

I've never had bed bugs and hope to never have them, here's another site for information www.bed-bugs.org I hope you didn't pay for room at this hotel because it sure shows their lack of cleanliness.

actually, according to what I've read it used to be due to uncleanliness, but now it is from travelers that visit a nice motel after having been in a poor one. The literature specifically mentions forgeign travel.

Be careful when you are in a motel! Be sure you look at dusk (they come out at dusk) (although if badly infested they may be out during the day). They look like little red ticks..or little red apple seeds.

If you bring them home in your luggage or other belongings you will have to have your place exterminated to get rid of them.

Thanks never thought to ask about what they look like or anything. How do you get rid of them if you do catch them or get bite what is a good cure for itching?
