Are/Were Your Parents Strict?

Well most of the parents but their are certain parents which are very light. This happens in the case of a single child, boy or girl but it doesn't matter.
What the topic here is about are or were your parents strict in your life?
My father is quite strict while my mother ain't.
Also i'm only one brother so I have never been beaten by fatehr or mother.
Your views are needed very much. I'll be happy if you respond.

I would say my parents were overall, very fair. My father was definitely the strictest of the two, but looking back, he never beat us or was completely unreasonable. We had everything we needed and then some. He did expect us to attend school and do well, help around the house, and show respect. I wish more kids had this type of influence before their teen years and I think we would have less problems with disrespect and trouble.

The same case is here wid me. Neva evea have I been beaten by ma parents.

Both of my parents were pretty strict. It was rough for them raising me, they had me when they were both really comparitively young (father was 25; mother was 21) so they really didn't have any experience in raising children. They sort of used me as their guinea pig being the eldest born... they were both raised in pretty traditional families as well, so it was rough on them having to deal with me in a new atomsphere...
They did a decent enough job. They were a lot less strict with each of my younger sisters progressively.
