base your foudation and doctrines on? What do you believe in? Do you base your beliefs on what man has created or on the word of God(the bible)? I believe in the Lord Jesus as Savior of my soul, born of a virgin women. He preached and taught the word of God while He was on the earth. At age 33 He died for our sins and rose again the third day, so that might be set free. I believe He sent the Holy Spirit as our comforter and teacher until His return. I base my beliefs on the bible. The doctrines that Jesus taught. What about you?

The Bible is the infallible Word of God. It is His revelation of Himself and His purposes for mankind: the people He created to have and enjoy fellowship with. It is also His revelation of the history of mankind and how we have been separated from him because of our sinful nature. It shows how man has constantly disobeyed Him and reveals to us our true nature. The Bible clearly states everything we need to know. Its teachings (doctrines) are clearly spelled out. For instance, the doctrine of salvation through the sacrificial shedding of blood by the Lord Jesus Christ, is first promised in Genesis 3:15, immediately after the fall. It is explained further throughout the Old Testament and comes to a climax as Jesus fulfills all prophecies in the New Testament. We do not need to look outside the Bible for any of God's teachings regarding Himself, ourselves, His purpose, how we should live, the future of this world, or eternity. EVERYTHING we need to know is in His Word. The Holy Spirit was given to us as our Teacher and He gives us understanding as we study the Word.

Like you, I believe the same things, and also believe what the bible teaches us. My belief is based on faith - faith that God exists, created the earth and everything on it as well as the heavens, that the bible was created by God, my faith in knowing that God was the reason the mere humans such as Matthew, Mark, and John along with the many others put God's message down for others in future generations to read and learn and find the same faith and beliefs as we do today.
