religion is grown in India?

It seems now a days people are more into religion, especially in India. Why is that? Because of religion there are too many fights, arguments, disharmony among people, contrary to the teachings of all the religions which teaches us to love one another and to be peaceful. We see more churches, temples and mosques built. People go to pilgrim more often. It is as if everyone is scared of something. Although most of people are wealthy enough, they still feel scared and feel lacking in inner peace.
