When you apologize are you serious?

What provides proof that you are sincere?
If a judge violates your rights to a defense, and then says "I'm sorry to find you guilty" - Harold Borek appealing to you three times to appeal the case. Would you feel the judge was sincere about his job and his appology?
After all, "There are no laws to prevent people from crossing over the stop line, if you mention anything about a person crossing over the stop line will result in your testimony being stopped and my making a ruling on this matter." (Paraphrased) Harold Borek
Of course my testimony couldn't be retold with out including the cause of the situation, everything has a beginning and trying to defend my conduct with out explaining what really happended as it contradicts the testimony of the lying detective and the false evidence that this man brought to court was a complete misconduct of the authorities all involved.
Is having the right to defend yourself important to you?
Do or should judges have to be held accountable?
Who can expose judicial misconduct?
Who can make a difference?
