Spellcasters, what effect does the eclipse have on your work?

I was taught that an eclipse negates any circle work or spell casting. A recent item I read indicated that the eclipse will actually intensify the power of the moon. I was born during an eclipse-of the new moon, so I can't consider it a negative or weak thing at all. But my poer rises with the new moon because of its position at my birth. Are other new moon babies having the same discovery?

I've found that eclipses tend to be perfect times for spells. Making the spell-work or ritual-work turn out far better than anything done on a full-moon.
I don't know..maybe it's 'cause they don't happen as often as full-moon's or because it helps some of us gain the right frame of mind.
*shrugs*
That's just my observence. Some traditions teach otherwise..but that's just how it's been for me.

thank you. that is what I'm curious about. I think eclipses create a powerhouse of energy. But I give credence to the shadow side or self. As above, so below- after all. We suppress knowledge and acknowledgement of our shadow selves and yet-it is not the reptillian mind that is the driving force, but merely the hidden-the true individual. In a developed person, truth does not lack compassion by any means, but hasa a fine awareness of the oneness of all. Our suppressed spirit is our shadowed self, and the finest part of most of us. The eclipse places a shadow on the full face of the moon, and on us. It seems then that it is an extraordinary time. blessed be. always good to read your comments xParanoiax.

BTW-reality doesn't hide in a corner and whisper. Although sometimes I wish to god it did.
