i want to do home learning of the cherokee language by purchasing an audio tape or cd of teaching the cherokee language

When learning any language, it's best to go straight to the source. English translations from non-native speakers can be pretty lousy.

Native Americans, thankfully, have been doing a lot to reinforce their cultures and retain their languages, so the sources are reliable, and committed. Hope this helps.
