Inexplainable Sadness

There are a few times when I will feel extemely down for no apparent reason. Feeling so low, I can hardly do much work. It seems that I am carrying a very heavy baggage in my chest. There was a time when I even find some difficulty in breathing. I had to cry to unload the heaviness of it all. Then a few days later I will usually hear that something bad has happened to a love one or a close friend.
The last time this happened to me (last February) a dear friend passed away. Does this happen to you, too?

Everyone feels this way from time to time.. we call it depression. :P

Have a good night's sleep, I hope it helps.

yes, this is true. scientists say that this happens because it is a way for us to cope with some harsh happenings in life.

No it never has happened to me but I always know when one of my Friends is sad and when there is something wrong. I read between the Lines and always have done and I always amaze my Friends lol when I ask the what is wrong as they didn't know how I knew there was something wrong.

Gabs, I'd surely want to have a friend like you. A friend who has the capability to fathom how I feel and act on it as a friend should. Your friends must be very lucky to have someone like you around.

Is this happening every time? When a loved one passed away? Or it happens with certain kind of time or seasonal zone?
Well you can put those things but let me add some thing more here: You have heavy weight at your chest. It is indicating the severity of the pain and sadness and one has to deal with that!
You just sit oposite the mirror and looking at your chest, pray that the sadness and related pain is disapearing from there and forever! And please try to see the grey color clouds going out from there! If feel to cry then please cry loudly and dont stop; just let the inside sadness float away!
And then when you become relaxed, just sit quitely to pray again with the attitude of gratitude! This will cover you under protection also!

thank you for your kind thoughts, healwell. the sadness does not really stay there for so long. it will be there for a few hours only. but my thoughts will be occupied about what could have gone wrong for me to be feeling this way. it is always at manageable levels though.

yea it happens for me when i am over exhauted at work but not without any reason. connecting your lowness to someones loss uhh is that a supernatural prediction or a tranformation of predecided pain? i guess i cant say anything on that but least i can say is that you practice going to loneliness and relax for 10 minutes, try to keep your mind free from thoughts. that should give you relief.

I have learned to cope with the occurrences of this kind of experience. It's just that when it happens, there's really some bad news which is about to come. They say that it is our sixth sense at work. The good thing about this is, when news breaks out, the pain I will feel is kind of subdued already as a warning was felt beforehand.

it did happen to me also (may be two or three times). but when at that time i was feeling down for no reasons at all, i thought of our Lord right away, prayed to Him to guide me and take care of me. then the feeling was gone. i heard nothing about someone passing away afetr a day or two or even now...i dunno..maybe distant relatives who we don't have communications at all.
If you have time visit my personal blog at www.wftorre07.blogspot.com and see what help you can give. thanks

I can see that you are a very religious man, ryanphil. That will do a lot of good. It pays to be able to hold on to one's faith always at times when he is feeling down and out.

That's really hard to explain, isn't it? I have come to that state a couple of times and it's just unbearable, the sadness and the pain that comes with it. When it happened to me I was scared that I was going to fall into depression if I wouldn't act right away. So I packed my things and went to a beach nearby leaving my work for two days. I got salary deduction but it's okay. My sanity is more important than two-days pay. And after the relaxation I felt great and energized again.

It is a good move that you did that. We will have to learn to cope with whatever takes place in our day to day lives. However, you will find out that you will not treat each experience the same way. There are others which will get us by with a simple shrug of the shoulders but, there are some which run deep and require more effort to done with them. Thank you for giving me this piece of your experience.

Thanks for the advice. I always do that. This life demands that we continuously fight for our sanity.

There are instances that we felt so bad, let say, you will feel a fast heart beat and that you felt that there is something wrong but we are not sure of what is it particularly. It happens to me always, so the best thing I always do is, I called my family and check them out. But, if you feel sad and tired, please go to a place whom you can find rest, let say in a place that you will feel comfortable, in a park or a view that will help you release the sadness you felt in your heart. Please avoid thinking sad things because it might not be good for you.

Yes, it happens to me. You are picking up something negative that is probably going to happen, and it manifests by making you feel that way. I have had the same thing happen where it is just an unbelievable depression, you can't really even describe. The only thing that I can say, is to pray to God. That is always what I do. I ask him to bless the situation, and to watch over whatever it may be, and to help me deal with it, so I am not suffering such anguish. It doesn't always mean that the thing won't happen, but you hopefully feel better knowing God is there. I will pray for you as well.

Actually, I don't like it when it happens. It is somekind of the sixth sense at work, maybe. You know that feeling we get when good luck comes to a close friend or kin, we feel the happiness, too and, when something bad happens to a dear one, that cloud of sadness hovers above, too. Anyway, I am coping with the situation. Thanks for dropping in.

Sometimes I feel like this when things are not going so well in either my life or relationship, when I'm feeling a little lost and not sure what to do. It passes in time but still there is still a scent of sadness and i'm not sure why.
