I don't know if it is real or not. Some scientists say it's a normal growth period of our planet...comes and goes. Some scientists say we need to cut back on the pollutants and such. Anyway, there is a grassroots effort to help stop global warming and they are going after ExxonMobile. If you want to read about it here's the link. http://www.exxposeexxon.com/action/step_it_up_2007.html

Pollution is only a piece of the problem. I read an article recently that scientist are doing studies and have shown that the sun is the main contributor to any warm up we get and there has not been any major temperature change that would lead us to think that there is even global warming.

Oh its real and its coming even quicker then they have expected it to. It really frightens me and I dont think it can be reversed now. I feel sorry for our kids and what they are going to go through.

global warming and God - I don't think anything is going to happen to earth until God says so
I know that my response will be completely opposite of most of yours out there but Please respect it as I respect yours even if I don't agree with it. I don't think this world is going to burn up or anything or be destroyed until GOD says that it will be. Revelation 21:1 says,"And I saw a new heaven and a new EARTH, for the 1st heaven and the 1st earth passed away and there was no more sea." You can read on about the new Jerusalem. I don't believe this earth is going anywhere until God raptures the church, the earth goes through the tribulation period, satan in bound for 1000 years, and then defeated and thrown into the everlasting fires of the lake of fire. Then there will be a NEW HEAVEN AND EARTH. This is my opinion and like I said you don't have to agree with it but please respect it.

Like I said, there are so many conflicting stories out there, I don't know who to believe. Whichever way they choose to believe, it's not going to happen anytime soon I don't think. And the Bible tells us that lots of bad things are going to happen before the "end" and many people think we are in those times now. I never wanted to be alive during the tribulation period, but it would be cool to be alive while satan is bound. I have Nun friends who believe we are in the time right now where satan is redoubling his mischief before he runs out of time. Only the Father knows for sure where we are in His timetable.

We had a great programme on TV here in the UK which just about trounced the 'carbon' build up as a complete fabrication ... it was all very interesting and made a lot of sense ... I think it's still a good idea to cut back on pollutants though as they can't be doing us much good .. and if we can reduce 'bad things' going into our bodies or save wild life that's great ... Personally I am old enough that I don't expect to still be alive when the world goes belly up .. but I do feel sorry for those folks who are going to have to deal with the 'mess' e've made of the world ..

Whether I am convinced that we are in a global warming crisis or not, I have always believed that we should take care of the earth, be careful of our energy use, and limit our use of non renewable resources. Nothing has changed there, I still believe we live in a spend thrift society that cares little about what we consider to be disposable. I try to economize, reduce my driving, decrease my pollution and energy consumption. I may have to ramp it up though, and get more avid.

For so many years we have used and abused the planet. It does try to do a balancing act however we need to help too. There are many things each of us can do if we only want to and care about the planet and our childrens lives. There is much you could do through Care2.com they are very rights consious and there are petitions that could do alot of good. Thanks for that link, you could get even more at Care2.com

I have studied about global warming, and I do believe that it s occuring. I know that our president has gone to great lengths to say that it is all a myth, even having "scientists" that present doubtful theories against it. However, it is a real thing. There is so much ice melting, and more and more flooding happening that it is something we need to worry about. I think it is not normal, or at least, it can be slowed down, because the speed that it is going at is really fast and dangerous for society.

'Global warming' is what brought us out of the Ice Age... it is normal planet behavior. Anyone who thinks that they can BLAME someone for it is foolish... and woefully misinformed!
