Pet shop supervisor Jamie Ansley, 25, of Canterbury, England
was beside himself when his pet owl Olly died 18 months ago.
So Ansley now keeps him in a plastic shroud at the bottom of
his freezer cabinet, with instructions in his will that the
bird must be buried beside him when he dies. He is aware he
has a few good years to go yet, but insists that wherever
they put him to rest will be Olly's final resting place too.
Not all who knew Olly are as attached to the bird as Ansley
is. He reports that his, "mates think I'm bonkers."
I can see a close pet like a dog, cat or a bird. But an OWL? This is the first time I've ever heard of someone having an owl as a pet even. Too funny.

Yes that's all too true. But have you ever known a person that has/had a pet owl? I haven't. Just curious is all. Thanks for the response also.

I had a owl for a pet when I was little. He broke his wing. My dad found him on the ground in the woods one day. His name was Wonk. We had him for a little over a year. But then my cat ate him. I dont think I would want to be buried with any animal though. Certinatly I wouldnt want to keep one in my freezer that long.

at least he could have had it mounted instead of stuffing it in the freezer. lol go figure huh?

Too funny, like you said. I guess since it was his pet he got really attached to it, but it is odd to have an owl as one. I know they can be pretty vicious at time with their talons and all. I know, I have had then dive bomb me and try to carry my small dog away when I was youner.
