This is a very heated debate. I wasn't so sure I wanted to post it. But, oh well here goes, eh? What are your views on communism? Do you think a communist government would work? What do you think would need to be considered in forming a communist government? In my opinion, the government would have to put its money back into the people. There really couldn't be much of a hieracrchy for it to work peaceful. What are your views on the situation?

No, I don't think it would work. I think it would fail it people again, just as it has failed every other time.

And what do you beleive they have done wrong. It works perfect on paper, but noone can seem to get it right. What do you think has led to it failing?

I think communism can only work at the level of the village. In small settlements where everyone knows one another, it's possible for people to contribute what they can and share equally in whatever is produced. Of course, all it takes is one person to take more than his share, or refuse to contribute, and the system starts to fall apart. I can't see it ever working at the national level, although I do wonder how Cuba would have done, if the U.S. hadn't imposed sanctions on it.
