1975 ford truck electronic ignition simplified

what is the resistance of the resistor to drop voltage to coil when running and where ccn i get one? I put a 84 ranger cab on a 75 full size running gear. 400M engine so I'm trying to just wire as little as posible.

Perhaps the best place to ask this question, and others of it's type is with an auto-electrician. Someone on here might know who you really are, and give the wrong advice so that you injure yourself or create a fire, or other things of that type. I would not like that to happen, so please ask an auto-electrician.
