healthier mashed potatoes?

i make mashed potatoes w/ a full slick of butter, some salt and potatoes.nothing else.that's the only way i and my baby liked them. how can i get that super buttery taste w/o destroying my heart?

Try Canola margarine, perhaps yogurt, extra virgin olive oil, cut out the salt, you'll get used to it.

try to minimize on butter . . .it's calories and cholesterol is high. you can have a much more healthy mashed potato if you can add some carrots chunks with it then just little butter , salt , evaporated milk , parsley flakes and dash of parmesan cheese , bacon bits and garlic powder.

I hope you get some good suggestions here because I love my mash as well, I have a lot of it so it would be good if it was healthy...
