If a poisonous snake bites a person what is the best first aid you can suggest before the patient is being taken to the hospital?

I am not sure of whether this will be right to do or not but I am told by my parents to tie a piece of cloth near that part of body so that flowing of blood to heart from that bodypart becomes slow . secondly don't let that person sleep and most important don't try anything like HIMNAKIM(fraud doctors) take that person straight to hospital. If person is very close to use and his/her life is too important for u than there is another step after u tie piece of cloth .but there is a risk even u can die so beware . U can suck blood around that area and bite more and more around that area so that all blood falls . please don't take a single drop of blood inside your throat.

While waiting for emergency assistance: -Wash the snake bit with soap and water. -Immobilize the bitten area and keep it lower than the heart. -Cover the area with a clean, cool compress or a moist dressing to minimize swelling and discomfort. -Monitor vital signs. Well, in this kind of incidence, responding quickly is highly recommended. We should take care of ourselves indeed.
