I'm one of those folks who would much rather DRIVE than RIDE in a car. I'm not sure why that is, but for some reason, I'm not a very good 'passenger'! I'm always thinking the driver isn't paying attention or something like that, and I push my foot on the floor for the brakes, and so on! I know it's not fair to the driver, and I don't really "distrust" most people I might RIDE with, but there's something about not 'being in control' that bothers me. Anyone else feel the same way? Or...perhaps you'd RATHER RIDE than DRIVE? Let us know! And please explain why you feel one way or the other.

During those early days and months that I started driving, I really would like to be the one who'll drive the car. I totally find it fun and exciting no matter how far the place is. When now, I don't know. When I get home, I don't drive that often anymore unless told by my parents or if they want me to drive them in a certain place. I don't know why either. Well, proably because I don't have a car of my own. I'm only using Dad's car and it's always nice to drive when you have your own car already, right? :)

Yep! Sounds like you like driving...just don't have the car to drive right now. I know that feeling, too. We went without a car for a while. Thanks for the post.

Yea...funny how it works that way. I hate being a "backseat-driver" too, but sometimes it's hard not to be! Thanks for the post.

I prefer driving a car to being a passenger in one. I like to be in control of the car and I find driving relaxes me. I'm not a bad passenger and I love looking around at the sights as we drive, but I will mention to the driver if their driving too fast or too close to another car!

Same here! Except, I'm not a very good passenger, as I'm always on the alert and tend to make the driver nervous, too. Thanks for the post.

i like to ride better. When i'm driving i'm always on guard looking for everything, and it's so much easier to just sit back and relax! I also get lulled to sleep when i ride in a car, it's so relaxing!

OK...you're lucky actually. You obviously don't 'fret-needlessly' like I might, while riding with another driver! lol Thanks for the post.

It completely depends on my mood. At that moment if i want to breathe in fresh air, i start my bike and ride it through greenery, but when i am in a mood of being myself and when i feel like being lonely, i start my car. I enjoy both, as i said, it just depends on my mood :-)

OK, then! Sounds like you enjoy driving as opposed to riding as a passenger? Thanks for the post.

I learnt to drive rather late in life, at 50 years old. Until then I had only been a pssenger but now I have my own car, I love to drive. I do find it a little difficult to be a passenger now, to be honest

Yep! Some people don't seem to mind 'riding', but I'm not good at it either! Thanks for the post.
