Do you think a meth user of several years could quit cold turkey without any rehab?
I do. I know it takes will power more then anything. It's hard, but it is possible to do. You can do it if you set your mind to it. You just need to be in a clean environment and leave all your old meth user friends behind. You can't stay in connect with anyone that is involved with meth because you are bound to fail. Meth is the devils drug. It is the most addictive drug I have ever ran across. You can be clean for several years, but there is a chance you will always go back if you keep those old friends around. So if you are going to kick the habit, then kick the other users aside as well. If they are not willing to help themselves then leave that enviroment.
Are you a meth user or a recovering meth user?
I'm a recovering meth user and I'm very proud that I took the right path. It was hard, but I'm happier without it now. I use to just live to get high. The rush was immediate. I was filled with energy and felt like I could do anything.
What did it take for you to become clean or are you still struggling with the use of meth?
I struggle everyday, but I'm still a success story and I'm keeping my new life this way!
How has meth effected your life?
I was effected in many different ways. I was effected in bad ways, but I was also effected in good ways. I like to concentrate on the present, so I will tell you that right now, my life has been effected in a good way and by that, I mean that by being an old user, I can look back on my past and I am just so grateful for what I have now and where I'm at now in life. I just live my life to the fullest now.
Do you miss the feeling that meth gave you?
I won't lie. Yes. Of course I do. I will always miss it, but that doesn't mean I will make another wrong turn down that path again.
So, the reason for this discussion is I want to see how many other people have been effected by meth and how they struggled to stay clean or why they can't stay clean.
Open minds are welcome to put their own opinions in.

You posted this 4 months ago but I'm a new user and it just caught my attention, it brings me vivid memories of how I used to be and almost a mirror image of what I am now. Going cold turkey even after years of abuse is definitely possible, it all depends on the person. My basis for saying this is ofcourse myself who was able to quit and also my older sister who wasn't able to. Haven't seen her in over a year, I hope she's okay.
