Pennies From Heaven : Have you seen it?

Anyone ever seen "Pennies From Heaven"? I was lucky enough to see both the PBS miniseries as well as the Steve Martin and Bernadette Peters movie. Gottah love Chris Walken in this one. I took my Mom to see it - and we both cringed and screamed as Chris did his barwalk striptease. How could you not? I was surprised by Martin - he did a good job in a strange role. I haven't seen "The Singing Detective" completely thru - have any of you? I like Robert Downey Jr., and was greatful to Mel Gibson for giving him his first role right out of rehab. With all the series out on TV that have had "operatic" or "Singing" episodes that directly owe their existance to "Pennies From Heaven", I'm just curious to see how many of you may have seen it.
