Hello MyLotters, I want to ask all those that have experienced lucid dreaming, about what they used to train themselves before they achieved their goal? What did you use to put your mind in the correct state? What was your trigger for Lucidity in your dream? If you have Lucid dreamt, you will know that, what I am talking about is an unforgetable event. Lucid dreaming is the merging of the subconcious and the concious mind in to one. They are both being used at the same time. This is not normal, I wonder if this is what yogi's and fakir's call nirvana. Because both parts of the mind are 'awake', while you are asleep, you can control your dreams and you remember them in great detail and clarity. I would like to try and do this while I am awake, and bring my subconcious mind into the picture. I guess, it's sort of what I've already done, but the other way around. Well, who here's played with their own mind.

I have been a lucid dreamer my whole life. I have been doing this since before kindergarten. When I first read about it, my response was, "What's the big deal?". I started lucid dreaming to solve problems and for recreation. Those are still the reasons I do it. As to how to do it, you might as well ask me how to ride a bike. It's just something I was born knowing how to do.

Not that I was born knowing how to ride a bike. I just can't explain how to ride a bike any more than I can explain how to lucid dream.

How true, how true. I haven't done it for ages and really miss it, fun beyond belief. I need to start my regime again. Some people never know this experience, poor them. A bit like never having tasted deep fried ice-cream, yum.

I am a natural lucid dreamer, I started LDing when i was about 6. As I got older, I started to lose my ability, so I began to look up induction techniques on the internet. I came across this wonderful forum, and I will put the link at the bottom of the post. The people there really helped me, and now I can lucid dream again. I usually lucid dream at least 3 times a week, if not more. It is wonderful, because they are usually quite vivid. I usually use my dreams to solve problems. I also use them to get my emotions out. For instance, if I'm mad at someone and I have an LD, I can tell them exactly how I feel without having any effect on my life. Yep, everyone should learn to lucid dream. Thanking you very much for that link, I have had a look at the place and content and can recommend that anyone interested in trying to learn how to do this should visit it. You are one of the more fortunate and capable of the planet, Red (above) has a wrangle on this trick pretty good, I have not been able to do it since I experienced a traumatic experience a while ago, I wish I could get it back, I feel robbed. Ta mate. :-)
