I have a similar problem with mine. Everytime I change thread, the lower looper thread breaks, or somehow unthreads itself from the looper. I don't know how or why, but it does. I just keep at it, until I get it right. Do you have your pressure foot down? I found that if it's down, the serger is harder to thread (Including the tension.) Read, read, and reread you manual. That's how I finally figured out my threading problems. Good luck!!

thank you for the Best Response. Did lifting the pressure foot help? :) Best of luck to you with the serger. I can't believe that I've lived so long without mine. LOL!

I am forever having problems with my sewing machine. It is an old one and only my husband know how to fix it, and I am pretty good at fixing things. I would suggest going to the manufacters web site to see if they can help you trouble shoot the problem. Hope this helps.

just letting everyone know, in case someone else has this issue....it was the actual threading. i wasn't getting the thread deep enough into the tension dials for it to catch so of course as i adjusted the tension it didn't catch the thread so didn't affect the sewing performance...i hope my mistake and discovery helps someone else avoid the same problem.

My manual had a key in it detailing how to make adjustment. Otherwise, I've always just fooled with it until I got it where I wanted it. I also make a point of having my machines serviced once a year. Good luck
