Should the words "under God" be in the U.S. Pledge of Allegiance?

Yes we should keep it. This nation was founded on God. We have been busy taking God out of everything and look how much worse the world has gotten. We should also put prayer back in school and the 10 commandments back up.

I think it should since that is what our country was founded on. The freedom of religion. Honor the beginning! There is nothing wrong with a Creator that does not condone hate or violence. I hope for the tolerance that many other cry for when we attempt to offer it Under God.

That was the way it was written and it should stay, we should not change it. It is sad to think that anyone would even try to mess with it.

I, personally, do not find it offensive. After all our forefathers constructed the US under a religious cloak. We still have "In God We Trust" on all our currency so why not let "under God" be in the pledge of allegiance. Also when reciting an oath to speak the truth the closing statement is "so help me God". I feel that if we start taking the word "God" out of the pledge it will snowball and "God" knows where it will come to an end.
