I don't know if these are real, but apparently they are...
1- My son is under doctor's care and should not take PE today. Please execute him.
2- Please excuse Lisa for being absent. She was sick and I had her shot.
3- Please excuse john for being absent on Jan 28, 29, 30, 31 and also 32.
4- John has been absent because he had two teeth taken out of his face.
5- Megan could not come to school today becasue she has been bothered by very close veins.
6- Chris will not be at school because he has an acre in his side.
7- Please excuse Ray from school on Friday. He has very loose vowels.
8- Please excuse Jimmy from being. It was his father's fault.
9- I kept Billie home becasue she had to go christmas shopping because I don't know what size she wears.
10- Please excuse Jennifer for missing school yesterday. We forgot to get the Sunday paper off the porch, and when we found it on Monday, we thought it was Sunday.
11- Please excuse Jason for being absent yesterday. He had a cold and could not breed well.
12- Please excuse Sam from school yesterday. His father was gone and I could not get him ready as I was sick and in bed with the doctor.

I've seen those before. What scares me is that apparently the kids forged their own notes... and really need to be in school. Or the parents are illiterate and THEY missed too much school when they were younger.
The complete lack fo spelling and grammer there is SO sad and scary.

Very true. You'd think that if you had spelling and grammatical problems you'd want the best for your children and not be keeping them home from school.

I can relate to this, being a retired school teacher of 22 years.
It becomes an exercise in patience not to the correct the errors parents make in the notes, with spelling.
Even worse, is the poor child trying to explain what Mum really means.

I'm sure that in your 22 years of teaching you would have seen many interestig notes from parents!

Followed closely by the newspaper one. :)
