Do you ever notice how people are totally thoughtless?

Do you ever notice how some people totally don't care to think about other people in any way shape or form. I know we all do it sometimes, but some people totally don't care. I mean, they do things like put their shopping carts in the middle of the isle so that no one can get through, park their car in a way that you can't open your door or get out of your space, or totally open their car door so that it hits your and don't give a second thought about it. I know people make mistakes and are often in their own world, but some people are totally clueless! What examples do you have?

Most people seem to be very self-absorbed, and (as you said) off in their own little worlds. I have a particular aversion to people who park in front of stores, in handicap spaces, and leave the engine running because they "just need to run in the store, real quick." And then there are those who seem to have their cell phone grafted permanently to the side of their head... so they can't even put it down for long enough to listen to the store clerk, for 30 seconds... and they hold up the line when ordering because half their attention isn't even on their order. And then there are the folks who get to the front of the grocery checkout line... and it's not until the moment the clerk says "That'll be $75.22" they start digging around for their checkbook... as if it never even occurred to them, till THAT MOMENT, that they would have to pay for the groceries. I have many more, of course.... :-D

Those people who park in handicap parking spaces are rude! I also don't like it when people put their carts in the spaces with the lines. Those are there for people who are trying to get out of their vans with their wheelchairs. I have to admit, though, I do listen to certain radio programs when I am checking out. In fact, I did it today. But, I usually turn the volume down or at least pay attention to what I am doing. And, I say "thank you". It's only during certain programs, not a regular habit.

It drives me crazy for two cars to stop in the middle of the road or an exit of a parking lot and just sit there chatting when there are people waiting on them to move. That is so rude to me. I always try to be mindful of others because I know how irritating some things can be to me.

I know what you mean. I get the same thing when it comes to narrow aisles in stores.

Ooh yes....the car door hitting yours while you are sitting right there watching. That urks me a little. People cutting people off on the freeway, instead of slowing back and merging behind a car. It's funny, I don't really notice things much unless I'm out with my husband. It seems like every rude person happens to get on the road as soon as he's driving. I don't know...is it a patience thing or a temperment thing?

Thanks Juls. I drive so slow that I would rather people merge ahead of me anyway. That way they don't tailgate me and I can "see" them.
