we were at the dollar store today, she wanted a teffy bear. i told her she allready had so many stuffed animals at home. she then said. "well can i give one of the ones at home away to someone else so i can get this one". so cute, and so smart.

Too funny..did you tell her yes or no. If money wasn't an object, I think I would have told her yes and let her donate 2 old stuffed animals to charity while keeping the new one. Either way, she sounds like a fun little girl. That is great ! Thanks for sharing !

i didn't get it today, i told her we had to donate first before she got it. that way she wouldn't back out of danating when we got home. so she's trying to decide which one she wants to donate, then we will go get the new one.

That is very cute. How old is she? It sounds like she is very smart, LOL. She must know how to play with her parents heart, LOL. I know you just hate to say no when they come up with something clever like that. At least she wasn't being stingy and she did have a good thought of giving one she already had to someone else. We have to give her credit for that too.

she's 3. i can't beleive the thought process that went on their. she knew after i said she had too many that if she got rid of one at home that this new one woulnd't take up any extra room. she really amazes me some times.

Your daughter is very cute and very smart but also very cunning. Lol. She must really know how to play you and get what she wants btu hey, if it is helping less fortunate kids then it is all okay.

i think it's ok concidering she is willing to donate to a charity. i think a good thing like that deserves a reward. even though right now she still thinks it's just for her. she will start to realize she is also helping someone else out by donating.

That is so cute. She is very nice to give away a old one to someone in her school or just in the neighbor hood that couldn't afford to get a teddy bear. So if she would of promised to do that for me I would of let her get that teddy bear, plus another new one to give to a friend that can't get one. She is very nice of thinking of other people.

That is cute. Wait till she is sixteen and starts trading boys off. I love your stories about your daughter. When my Heather was about five she used big words and the teachers all thought she was weird. The thing is she was an only child and she was around adults most of the time. This means she picks up on the words that we use and what they mean.

Very sweet! I think it's great that you are rewarding her for giving her toys to charity. I truly believe if we instill those values in children when they are young, they will grow up to be less selfish and more compassionate adults. My mother and I did volunteer work together, and i grew up visiting the elderly regularly, planting trees, cleaning up the highways and such. As an adult these things are still important to me, and I plan on doing similar things with my son to teach him that taking care of the world is something we are all responsible for. She sounds like an amazing child! Congratulations on your little blessing!
