What forms/type(s) of media should we censor? Do you think some radio stations are influential on young adolescent teenagers? Because many people listen to the radio when they are on their way to school or whilst they are studying. Can anybody think of other media that are worth it? If so; what are your reasons? Thanks mate. Appreciate all responses.

This is a difficult question...
In a democratie... nothing should be censor.
In a perfect world... we would have a censorship for the teenagers only. But that is not possible. The only way to censor the teenagers... is to have responsible adults supervising them.
You cannot ban radio stations for catering for an audience of 20 years old because some 15 years old might listen to it.
It is really up to the parents. Parents have this bad habit to tell their kids... "I don't want you to do that... I don't want you to watch that... I don't want you to listen to that... I don't want you to read that..."
The big problem is... that they never take the time to explain to their kids... why they don't want them to do that. If the parents taught their kids some moral values... the kids would know right from wrong... and censorship would not be necessary. That is the only solution. That is how it was done 50 years ago... and it did work. Today we are giving our kids too much freedom. Freedom is not a birth right. You have to earn it.

I do not believe media should have to censor.. I do feel they should have to state.. Before they play adult only content they are about to do so to give the parents, teachers, or busdrivers time to change the channels if they do not approve of children listening to innappropriate content....
On the other hand.... Instead of barring all adult only material from the ears of a child. It can be used to help teach them what is or is not appropriate.
We all used to watch IMUS in the morning, It gave us time to sit down and talk after the show or during commercial what he said that was right or appropriate and what was not right or appropriate.. I am not happy he was pulled off the air as it open the doors to discuss all sorts of family, political, Racial, and other types of issues.. and to talk about it in a way where we could all agree he was wrong one day, and right another day.
My family watched him for 9 years. I live in the USA. So I feel freedom of speech should be allowed if a person does not like what is on the TV or Radio channel they are free to change the channel.

My "Freedom of Speech" American opinion is that the media isn't what needs to be censored. Certain things aren't appropriate for certain people. If we're referring to adults, they have every right not to watch/listen/read something they find offensive. If we're talking about children then it's up to the parents to decide what they can watch/listen to/read. Since parents can't possibly spend all day every day with their children it's also important to instill their chosen values and morals to increase the chances that the children will not purposely expose themselves to the offensive material.
I don't care for censorship because I think it promotes narrow mindedness, ignorance and in some cases unjustified hatred.
That being said my "I'm a mom" opinion is that I really wish tv/radio/print media would tone it down a little. There is no good reason to swear, there are plenty of other words to use. It isn't necessary to show complete "love scenes" in movies, kids don't need to see it and adults would understand if it was just implied. Magazines especially should be more careful with what they put on their covers, I've had perfectly respectable women's/mother's magazines that I couldn't leave out for fear my children would try to read some of the article titles.
So, I guess what I'm trying to say is that overall I'm against censorship but I think the media could use a little more common sense and parents really need to pay attention to what their children are being exposed to.
