In 1901 divers found the remains of a clocklike mechanism 2,000 years old. The nechanism appears to be a device for calculating the movements of the stars and planets. It consists of a box with dials on the outside and very complex assembly of gears on the inside, like a wellmade 18th century clock. Did they ancient Greeks actually invent the first computer? Please read following article and tell me what you think. http://www.ancinetx.com/nm/anmviewer.asp?a=28&z=1

Very interesting! But you accidentally transposed two letters in your link. After a few failed tries, I looked at it and figured the "ancinetx" should probably be "ancientx." I tried it and it worked. So, here's the new link: http://www.ancientx.com/nm/anmviewer.asp?a=28&z=1

Oh I've read about this one in the news. It's quite amazing really; proves that ancient people were just as smart and innovative. The fact that they managed to built such an intricate clockwork is really amazing. Wonder how they did it. =P
