With all of our concern with eating fats, most of us do not get the required amount of essential fatty acids required by our body to process our food properly, thereby adding weight and subtracting from our overall health. I found the easiest way to ensure that I have my required amount of essential fatty acids is by taking them in liquid form in a smoothie in the morning. There is no taste involved, and
you get some of the fruit that you need in your daily diet. I also add fresh bee pollen to the drink, which gives you every amino acid and b vitamin that your body needs to exist, and it is a complete protein! I know that if I miss my smoothie for more than a day or so; my energy level drops significantly. A great way to start your day off right!

I am quite surprised to hear that people are not getting enough fats. It's always the contrary since practically everything contains some fats - if not, just grab a packet of chips. :P
But try fish such as codfish or salmon. I heard they contain beneficial fats.

I always suggest eating according to your bloodtype and most of us tolerate fruit very well ! Therefore anything blended with yougurt (non-fat and/or regular vanilla flavor) to all fruits can be rewarding.
For prevention of heart disease and further deterioration make smoothies with straight blackberries, strawberries and blueberries and ice . . . highest concentration of anti-oxidants and keeping true to the higher alkaline levels in your blood keep cancer away !

Well I've never thought of that. Thanks for that bit of advice, and I just might have to start drinking more smoothies in the morning, sounds really good, thanks.

I think fresh been pollen is great because my mom used to drink that too and for many months she was stable with her blood pressure.
And sometimes If I was not on a hurry I do add fresh bee pollent in my drinks sometimes I drink it straight. In my province there are ample supply of fresh bee pollen.

The smoothie sounds delicious and healthy, but where do you get fresh bee pollen from? In fact, what is fresh bee pollen? Could you use honey as a substitute if you can't get the pollen? Perhaps it doesn't have the same protein content as pollen, I'm not sure.
