Reaching the end of a job interview, the Human Resources Officer asked a young Engineer fresh out of MIT, "And what starting salary were you looking for?"The Engineer replies, "In the region of $125,000 a year, depending on the benefits package."The interviewer enquires, "Well, what would you say to a package of 5-weeks vacation, 14 paid holidays, full medical and dental, a company matching retirement fund to 50% of salary, and a company car leased every 2 years say, a red Corvette?"The Engineer sits up straight and says, "Wow! Are you kidding?"And the interviewer replies, "Yeah, but you started it."

Oh man, now that was pretty funny! Yeah just goes to show even in a joke that some people really do expect too much. You should be happy with anything you can get, especially just starting out. You'll be lucky if you even get a decent offer when your just starting out in your feild. It's about working really hard and earning a great reputation, and that'll help you to move up the latter so to speak and get better money.

Yes you are so right.a few young people think they are much better then they are. They haven't figured out that years of experience is needed to be that good.I know some that think it's better to live off the kindness of others because they aren't gonna clean a toilet or dig a ditch...News for them someone has to do those things and the best manager has done the grunt work also. Thanks
