What does the Easter Bunny leave in your childs Easter basket? When my kids were little I always filled their baskets with things like bubbles, coloring books, chalk, etc. They did get a little candy but not too much.

my eldest has pretty much figured everything out, but he does have a younger brother. So we all play along. The Easter Bunny usually leaves the matchbox cars, something each is interested in (science/dinosaurs) to distinguish the basket. Very little candy actually. ANd an assortment of other little bobbles. The baskets are hidden and each mush find their own basket. then we search for eggs. It's all fun.

We never hid the Easter baskets. That's a good idea though! I think the kids would really like that.

Last year my son's basket was so much I had to use a wicker laundry basket. I'm cutting down this year, I don't think he needs so much candy since I only let him eat it a couple times a week. I think I'm going to get a dvd instead of a stuffed animal, he already has so many stuffed toys and he really wants the new Mickey Mouse movie. Then I'll probably get him a toy to play in the yard with and just a few things of candy.

The less candy the better. I know you have to have a little but it's nice to fill it mostly with little toys and trinkets and maybe even some healthy dried fruit and/or trail mix.

I have been discussing this with my daughter. She is a big girl now if you know what I mean and we are going to decide what our new traditions will be.

I really enjoy putting together my children's easter baskets. This year if I have the money, I'll probably put one power ranger figure in the two oldest, along with some other smaller things. I did get bubbles in the shape of peeps bunnies from the dollar store. Some crayons and whatnot. I also only give them a little bit of candy, they'll already be excited so I don't need to wind them up with lots of sugar. :)
