Voice Chat: Do You Do It?

When you chat in a chat room or on yahoo, msn, or whatever you favorite messenger program is do you have voice chats? I know a lot of people know seem to use voice chatting as an alternative so they don't have to pay outragous fees for long distance. I do agree it does have some money. However, the quality always isn't that great. What do you like about voice chatting? and why?

I've had voice chats on Yahoo, MSN, and Skype. Not in chat rooms, though. Well, the ones I had on Yahoo was a private group chat thing, but... yeah. Anyway, I've been trying to convince a long distance friend to get a mic so that we can talk for FREE. We shall see if that ever happens.
