I'm Italian so English is not my native language. Even if I think mylot is a good exercise to improve my written English I'd like to use a good translator to write in my language and than translate that I write to respond faster.
I have tried Babelfish translator but the translation Italian-English is not so good, so I usually use a dictionary like http://wordreference.com and I write directly in English.
Can you suggest me a language translator?
It can be a site or a software for Linux.
Thanks.

Me too I'm Italian, and so English is not my native language. I prefer not to use translators because I wanna improve my bad English, but once I tried Babelfish and I was very disappointed, so I don't trust this kind of softwares, to me it's too early to have a very good translator, but now you suggest this site and I wanna try it, who knows, it will teach me something....

That is the site I actually use Babelfish and I find it quite useful especially when I had to translate French into English. When I used to do typing for a company we had a company in France who sent over documents in French, I do have a little French from studying but not fluent or perfect and I found the translator very helpful.
